The first and most common problem that this technician saw was a dirty flame sensor. The flame sensor is behind your burners. It will have two wires going to it. Not all flame sensors are easy to access, but many are pretty accessible. A dirty flame sensor will hinder how your furnace runs. To clean it, you can use something microfiber like a microfiber cloth. You want to be careful not to get anything on your flame sensor, otherwise, you will have the same issue as before. A dirty furnace filter is the next most common problem. It is a good idea to change your air filter every few months. Otherwise, you will be breathing in dirty air. If you go too long without changing your furnace filter, it could cause more damage to your system. Fiberglass filters are going to be the best ones to buy.
